Josephine Bisco

Born
in Colchester in 1976, Josephine grew up in South East England, moving to
New York in 1995.
In 1998, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to study at the Katherine K.
Herberger College of Fine Arts in Arizona State University. Josephine' s
efforts at ASU and her abilities as an artist were reflected by her success
in securing scholarships to fund her studies. She left Arizona with the
earned title of 'Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Hons.'
Josephine's work has been shown in juried exhibitions and she also received
honours for Drawing, as number one in Arizona State at graduation. She was
awarded a 'Thesis of Distinction' for her honours thesis exhibition entitled,
'The First Sin and its Punishment' in 2002. Additionally, the artist was
solely featured in the Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Arts
prospectus for the School of Art, 2003, and selected for publication in
'Promising Artists International' magazine.
Josephine has now returned to New York. After spending time working from a
studio in the trendy TriBeCa arts district of Manhattan, she now lives and
works at her home studio in Greenwich, Connecticut. Her fine art work forms part of numerous
international private collections, while her mural work is showcased in many
restaurants and bars around New York and Connecticut.
